Imitation jewellery has a reputation for shortcuts. Ours doesn't take any — every piece moves through the same five stages, by hand, in our Surat atelier.
From Sketch to Shelf
Five stages, one standard.
No stage is outsourced to cut cost or time — it's why a Jaydeep piece feels heavier, sits better and lasts longer than typical imitation jewellery.

Design & Casting
Every piece starts as a hand-drawn sketch before being cast in a base metal alloy chosen for weight, durability and how it holds fine detail — essential for temple motifs and filigree work.

Micron Gold Plating
Cast pieces are electroplated with a measured layer of gold — thick enough to resist everyday wear and tarnish, thin enough to keep the piece light on the ear or neck.

Kundan & Stone Setting
Kundan work is set entirely by hand — each stone pressed into a lac (resin) base by a single artisan, the same technique used in fine Rajasthani kundan jewellery for centuries.

Polishing & Finishing
Every piece is hand-polished to remove tool marks and bring out the shine, then passed through a final finish coat that helps resist scratching and everyday tarnish.

Quality Control
Before packaging, each piece is checked by hand for clasp strength, stone security and finish consistency — pieces that don't meet the standard don't ship.
What Goes Into It
Materials, chosen deliberately.
Every material is selected for how it wears over months of real use, not just how it photographs on day one.
- Base Metal
- A brass or alloy base chosen for the right balance of weight and detail retention — heavier than costume jewellery, lighter than solid gold.
- Plating
- Gold-tone, rose-gold-tone and rhodium (white gold-tone) micron plating, each tested for wear resistance before a design goes into production.
- Stones & Kundan
- Cubic zirconia, glass kundan and Swarovski-grade crystal, hand-set using traditional lac-and-foil kundan technique for pieces in that category.
- Pearls
- Freshwater-finish and shell pearls, individually inspected for consistent shape and finish before a strand is strung.
Care Guide
Keep it looking new.
Store pieces away from moisture, avoid perfume and lotion contact before wear, and wipe with a soft dry cloth after each use. Full care instructions are in our FAQ.
